Some random moments...

Jack snoozes on Emma who came round for tea and cake - she's expecting her first baby at Christmas time.

Jack takes a sneaky late afternoon nap

All wrapped up on one of the few cooler days we had near the beginning of September

Jack takes a well-earned nap on the way home from Music Together (www.greenmountainmusictogether.com)

Jack's play date with Hugo and Winston

Two of Jack's best cuddly buddies come out to play regularly, much to Jack's delight...

Holding things and tummy time

Taken 10th September... our boy was getting quite good with his hands and head at this point.... he's even better now, which you'll see when I get to downloading the latest pics.

That's it... give it a good shake kidda!

... and it goes without saying most things end up in Jack's mouth sooner or later

Just kicking back in Jack's pad

Jack grabs hold of Whoozit

And here he is getting to grips with head and neck control!

Now, if only I could just grab that Whoozit again...

Some more bath time shots

Taken 4th September - Jack still loves his splishy splashy!

Do you mind? I'm taking a bath!

Oooo - something just bubbled down below!

Jack has really discovered splashing now... which usually means a good drenching for Mummy/Daddy!

Jack always says hi to his buddy in the mirror...

... Hey there neighbour!

Little peeper

Jack loves to watch his hot air balloons swing about while he gets ready for bed

Champlain Valley Fair - Aug 28

Finally, some more of our news/pics...

At the end of August Jack managed to talk Daddy into taking the afternoon off so we could all go to the fair. It was a scorching hot day so we didn't stay too long, but here are a few shots of us sweating it out at what is supposedly one of the best fairs in America.

Jack and Daddy by the big wheel

Jack and Mummy listen to the US Marine Corps Band

We saw some very big horses...

And some very big RVs!

Adam picked out the one he liked best

Dreams really do come true!? Jayne was in heaven to finally be at the wheel of a massive RV - she/we are still hoping to get our first proper holiday in years next year and hit the open roads for a mega RV tour with our little family - Safi included!

Now what's this??

Aaah, I see Daddy has already picked his seat!

Daddy and Jack check out the dairy cows

We even saw oxen

And little wanna-be oxen!

We listened for a little while about how the beasties are selected and trained, and how the yokes are fitted etc. We soon moved on tho... the owner was very into her oxen and didn't half go on! ;)

Cool sand sculpture!

Vermont's giant pumpkin competition... and no, Adam wasn't trying to make off with the winner... honest! Anyhow, we'd have needed more than Jack's stroller to get it shifted!

We felt bad for the one in 4th place... awww. Well, it's he taking part that counts, right?! And note the snake gourd - it kinda freaked us out a bit... we're not much into snakes of any variety (especially after Jayne was 'chased' by one in the back garden a few weeks back!)

"OMG! YES I DO!" shouted Jayne

I wonder if they're looking for new members? Maybe Jack could join when he's a bit older! Not sure the housing association will appreciate us growing giant veggies in our back garden tho...

From giant pumpkins to giant steers and horses. We didn't check these out but, by all accounts, these 'giant' beasties were quite average... tsk!

Daddy tries to catch a shark to win Jack his very first fair ground toy...

Howz'at?! (oops, it's not cricket is it...)

Jack is thrilled (hmm) with his lovely sparkly dolphin

Back home and Jack takes a well-earned nap on Mummy

It had to happen sooner or later...

... Okay, so we could be talking of any number of things, but in this case it's projectile vomiting. :( You'll be pleased to know there are no pics of this particular milestone (!) but you probably won't want to read on if puke-talk isn't your thing. ;)

Poor little Jack has had three bouts of the most astonishingly volumous projectile vomiting we ever thought possible from such a little body. Thankfully he seems none the worse for it, and is full of his usual smiles and antics which is reassuring.

Beyond the to-be-expected spitting up now and again Jack is generally not a puker by any means, which is why we were so taken aback by the events of yesterday and Friday evening. Needless to say his lovely rocking chair, 2 square feet of carpet and boppy have had a thorough drenching, not to mention three full changes of clothes for Jack and Mummy. :( Thank goodness for the soda water we had in the house, which is proving very useful in cleaning up and getting rid of any yucky stink in the absence of any child-safe upholstery cleaner.

So the good news of the day is that Jack has had two big feeds so far and managed to keep everything down... so far. Keep your fingers crossed for us that whatever the issue was has passed now and that our little guy has no more of the dastardly PVs.

Just Jack :)

Awww. We love our boy we do! We're completely biased, of course, but we think he's quite the cutest thing that was ever put on this earth.
