Locks luck out in local elections

News just in from Dolton, Devon UK.

Mum and Dad Lock have been kept busy these last weeks with their election campaigns for (re)election onto the District Council (Rosemary) and Parish Council (John).

Excellent results all round:
  • Rosemary beat the Lib Dem. chap by 242 votes. Hurrah!
  • Parish Council results were really good with a 71% turnout from the village - John topped out the Parish Council poll with 290 votes. Hurrah again!
With District results announced at midnight, then the Parish result given at 2am it seems some celebrating was had at The Rams and back at Cleave Farm before the successful campaigners made it into bed at 4am.

Well done the Locks (Sr.)!
