The run up to Christmas 2007

Mid-December arrived and Adam's parents got into town pretty much at the same time as a big snow storm. Reasonably good timing meant they didn't get too horribly delayed despite being iced into the plane when it landed at Boston. These were the scenes that greeted John and Rosemary when they made it to Burlington the next day.

Hummingbird Lane under snow

Safi on lookout - hurrah for the snow clearing services included in our association fee :)

Hummingbird Lane gets put on the 911 emergency services mapping system - good to know they know where we are now!

Things aren't much better in the back garden - at least Saf had 3 crapisseums to choose from this year

The vibrant red-hued Cardinal - one of the more stunning birds around here. What do you mean you can't see it?

Any better? OK, so it's not a good shot but it's the only one we've managed to get of these timid birds that are dressed top to toe in the brightest of reds.

Free wild turkey dinner this year? If only we had a shot gun.

The last UVM Catamount hockey game of the year took place on the Saturday after Adam's parents got here. Adam managed to get hold of some tickets from a colleague at the Miner Research Institute, across the Lake in New York State... this of course meant we'd be in the opposition's sector but we didn't mind... we had Adam's mum to protect us!

The opposition leave the rink after losing to the Catamounts. Go Cats Go!

Adam and a somewhat peeky Jayne watching from the stands

Rosemary is well in with Rally Cat, the UVM mascot...

... John pretends he doesn't know his wife and sips away at his hot chocolate instead ;)
