Adam has the distinction of being the fifth recipient of the Robert L. Bickford, Jr., Keystone Award in Nutrition and Food Sciences. He receives a $10,000 grant to support his research on improving our understanding of the formation of bioactive fatty acids in the rumen, in particular trans fatty acids, and to provide a substantive research experience for an undergraduate student. We had the pleasure and honour of meeting Mr Bickford while Adam was being recruited by UVM, and we were sad to hear he had passed away just recently.
Adam will receive his award at the College's Honours Day Ceremony where, in her own words, the Dean of the College is "looking forward to recognizing Adam's excellent work". We'll hopefully have some pictures for you soon.
Bravo Adam!
