Have you got your balance?

This was the phrase of the day as it was Dad T's turn to hit the slopes on the bi-ski, and he certainly did that in true Thompson style...

With only a few minor face plants in the snow, and one or two entanglements with Eric who did a superstar job of helping Dad tackle bi-skiing for the first time, today was no mean feat considering Dad is only just really walking again after all his leg trouble and that this was his first time on the slopes in some 20 years!

No messing about... Once Dad was all set in the bi-ski we set out straight up the Gate House Express Quad chair lift and came down 'Pushover' (see pics below). A few great runs down saw Dad master some pretty good turns at speed before we came in for a short break.

Heading back out we opted for the Super Bravo Express Quad lift and, after an easy start along the 'Valley House Traverse', took a rather hairy run in down 'Snowball' and 'Spring Road' - it was pretty bumpy and powdery... fun, but tricky, and it's fair to say we all ran out of gas by the end! Time to call it for the day.

The day was superb and I think truly exceeded M&D T's hopes for enjoying snowy VT to the full.

BRAVO all round and HUGE thanks to Eric and Maggie from VASS who made it all happen for us :))
