Cheryl and Simon leave us to set out on their world tour

We're under a gloomy cloud today :( ...and it's raining too. Boo!

Cheryl and her boyfriend Simon left VT yesterday as they set out on their mega-kayaking adventure all around the world. Lucky pups! 12-month sabbatical with 6-months paddling around north America and then 6 more months travelling the globe after a quick stop off in UK (no doubt to do some washing?!).

They stayed one last night with us after shipping half of their belongings back to the UK, giving loads of stuff to friends and charity, and packing whatever was left into/onto their trusty Chevy van, including a futon, 4 kayaks, 2 bikes and a playstation! Poor Astro might be headed for new tyres and shockers before too long...

Anyway, we're so excited for them, and yes, a little envious too (who wouldn't be?) and wish them well for safe journeys and fun on their travels.

We're going to miss them very much. Roll on September when they grace us with their presence once more before heading back to UK and starting the non-USA leg of their world tour.

  • We'll be checking out how they're getting on at www.foreignwaters.blogspot.com.
  • There are some shots up there of the pig roast leaving party we went to and some great action shots from a bi-ski lesson if you fancy seeing what kind of stuff we get up to on the slopes.
  • If you like kayaking, you might wanna check out the awesome pics that I'm sure will be forthcoming over the coming months.
